Built by Srikeerthan
A developer who got tired of AI replies that sound nothing like me.
The Problem I Had
I spent way too much time writing Reddit comments. As someone who wanted to engage with communities, share knowledge, and yes, occasionally promote my work, I found myself staring at reply boxes for ages.
So I tried ChatGPT. Gemini. Claude. The replies came out... wrong. They were polished, sure, but they didn't sound like me. They sounded like a corporate PR bot trying to pass as human.
"Great point! I completely agree with your perspective and would love to hear more about your experience with this topic."
Nobody talks like that. Especially not on Reddit. I needed something that could capture my voice โ casual, sometimes sarcastic, and definitely not starting every sentence with "Great point!"
So I Built RedSutra
RedSutra isn't just another AI writing tool. It's designed around one idea: your replies should sound like you wrote them, not like an AI assistant trying to be helpful.
You set up your profile โ your interests, your writing quirks, your profession. Then you pick a tone (Hype, Roast, Hot Take, Actually, Ask, or Answer), and RedSutra generates a reply that actually sounds human.
The name "RedSutra" comes from "Red" (Reddit's color) and "Sutra" (Sanskrit for "thread" โ a double meaning with Reddit threads). It felt right for a tool built for authentic Reddit engagement.
Why Privacy-First?
Here's a question I asked myself early on: why should I collect your data?
Most extensions want your email, your usage patterns, your preferences stored on their servers. Why? So they can monetize it later. I didn't want to play that game.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)
Your API keys stay on your device. I never see them. You pay the AI provider directly โ about $0.001 per reply with Gemini's free tier.
No Servers
RedSutra has no backend. Zero. No servers means no data collection, no breaches, no "we were hacked" emails.
No Analytics
I don't track what you generate, which subreddits you visit, or how often you use it. Your usage is your business.
No Accounts
Install, configure, use. No sign-ups, no emails, no "verify your account" friction.

Developer building tools I wish existed. Currently focused on making AI actually useful without compromising privacy.
Building in Public
I'm documenting the entire journey of building RedSutra โ the wins, the failures, the "why did I think this was a good idea" moments. If you're interested in following along, I post updates on X.
I also genuinely want feedback. What's missing? What's broken? What would make this actually useful for you? DM me, email me, leave a review. I read everything.
Try It Yourself
Free. No account needed. Your API key, your privacy.
